About Julie
About me? First of all, contrary to what the pictures show, I’m not THAT much of a
cheese-ball…Okay, wait, yes, I probably am.
I was born June 23, 1978 in Mount Holly, NJ (I think I’m the only person in my
family NOT born in the South, so I claim "Southern by association"). We were "corporate gypsies"
for a while, living in Houston, Oklahoma City, and back in Houston (and lots of other places before
I was born, but I won't even try to remember them). I went to high school at Friendswood High, where
I was a Friendswood Wranglerette.
I went to Texas Christian University (GO FROGS!) and got a BA in English.
At TCU I was a member of the dance team, the TCU Showgirls,
and was active in the band service sorority, Tau Beta Sigma. Tau Beta is how I met some of my
closest friends, including two of the gals in the Bridal Party,
and, it's one more thing Lynne and I have in common!
After college, I started working in the publishing industry, first at Harcourt College Publishers and, for the last (almost) 6 years, at PPC in Fort Worth. I'm a team leader in the Content Management department. While at PPC, I went back to TCU (with Victoria, my fearless co-hort!) to get an MBA. I guess I worked pretty hard – I was named a TCU Neeley scholar upon graduation.
And, PPC is where I met Bryan…it all started at a department happy hour back in late July of 2005…and I couldn't be happier with where we all are now!
